Disturbing video has exposed Pak's duplicity on PoK, says Kiren Rijiju

After a large number of people in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) were seen protesting against the Pakistani establishment and demanding freedom, Union Minister for state Kiren Rijiju said termed the handling of the mob as 'disturbing'. "Coming out of this video of atrocities committed by Pakistani forces against innocent people of occupied area of Jammu and Kashmir is very disturbing," he said.

"It has exposed the duplicity of Pakistan," added Rijiju.

He also said that India always knew that people of Pakistan were never given freedom. "We’ve always had credible intelligence inputs which shows Pakistan occupied Kahmiris have never enjoyed spirit of democratic freedom," he said. He said that Pakistan should allow international agencies to visit PoK regions to see the situation of the locals.

"India deeply sympathises with people of PoK because not only the land but the people belong to us," Rijiju said.

Reffering to Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif bringing the issue of Jammu and Kashmir in his meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Rijiju said that Pakistan should stop raising the 'Kashmir bogey' and pay heed to the needs of people of PoK.
