Cops grill family of girl planning suicide attack

A day after reports of a Pune based woman entering the Kashmir valley and planning a suicide attack on or around republic day, Pune police visited the woman's house in the city and questioned her parents. According to the police, her parents did not divulge any information about her whereabouts.

According to sources, Sadia Anwar Shaikh, 18, is a resident of Yerwada and intelligence reports have stated that she has travelled to Kashmir valley where she is planning a suicide attack. Following the intelligence report, all the agencies are on alert.

According to police, she came in contact with radical forces who brained washed her to go to Syria and join ISIS when she was just 16-years old.

Police had stopped her from fleeing to Syria and the process for deradicalisation was still on.
