In a strange move, a head constable posted in Kutch was terminated from service on Wednesday for praising IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt.

The constable had publicly welcomed Bhatt's move against the government and had appealed to other IPS officials to 'learn' from Bhatt who dared to speak up against chief minister Narendra Modi.

Head constable Naresh Brahmbhatt was dismissed from service on Wednesday by the district superintendent of police Kutch, Jitendra Rajgor.

The DSP confirmed to DNA that he had terminated Brahmbhatt's services. Brahmbhatt had issued some posters of him, along with Sanjiv Bhatt's, in which he congratulated Bhatt for his daring attempt.

The DSP further said that he had warned Brahmbhatt not to issue such kind of statements. Rajgor also said that the head constable was also running a union illegally and was reminded on many occasions to stop the union but he didn't heed.

Brahmbhatt has said that he is going to appeal before the Director General of Police against his dismissal. He said that if needed he would knock on the doors of the judiciary as his dismissal is illegal.

He said that the union was validated by the high court, though the government is yet to recognise it.

"I have done nothing wrong. I simply congratulated the IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt's for his daring move and allegations he has made in the affidavit. How many officers are there in the department who publicly disclose the wrong doings?" Brahmbhatt asked.

Officials in the Kutch police department are in shock because of Rajgor's termination. Most police officials remained tightlipped about the development but said the decision should be revoked.
