Accusing Sonia Gandhi of ignoring pain of the poor people whose huts caught fire close to her yesterday's rally venue in Paota area, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today said the Congress wants to finish the poor instead of abolishing poverty.

Addressing a rally in Baran district today, Raje said, "Fire was lit to signal the helicopter carrying Sonia for landing, but a few nearby huts caught fire from sparks...

However, she did not pay attention to the incident and kept addressing the rally in Jaipur's Paota area." "...She did not bother to go to the poor people whose huts were gutted," she said, adding that "Congress wants to finish the poor instead of abolishing poverty".

Raje sought votes for BJP candidate from Jhalawar-Baran constituency Dushyant Singh.

She said that vote for the party candidate would help Narendra Modi become prime minister. BJP's prime ministerial candidate Modi understands what is poverty and would accelerate growth and development after coming to the power, she added.
