Chennai: One dead, 10 injured after youth rams Porsche into 12 parked autos

One auto driver was killed and 10 others were injured after an allegedly drunk youth rammed his Porsche into parked autorickshaws in Chennai on Monday.

According to reports, the incident took place at around 3:30 am at Cathedral Road in the city.

The police have arrested the accused Vikas Vijayanand. Vikas, son of Supreme Court lawyer Vijay Anand, was driving the car, reported Times of India.

His car, a blue Porsche, was also smashed. "The student Vikas Vijayanand was drunk while driving. We are investigating," NDTV quoted a police officer as saying.

The injured have been admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government Medical College Hospital.
