Bengaluru: Transport bandh gets mixed response

The transport bandh called by the Federation of Autorickshaw Drivers' Unions and other unions got a mixed response from autorickshaw drivers.

While the BMTC managed to operate skeletal services, many autorickshaws were seen as usual on the roads.

When Iamin asked one of the autorickshaw driver whether he was aware of the auto bandh, he said "I know about it but he has to ply the autorickshaw to feed his children and wife.

Recently, we observed a bandh against Tamil Nadu Government's opposition to the construction of a dam at Mekedatu on Cauvery River. I am not supporting this bandh,'' he said.
