Army exam paper leak: 18 persons arrested, raids conducted in Thane, Nagpur, Goa

The police received information of the paper being written by some candidates one day before the exam on Sunday.

The Thane City Police nabbed 18 persons from Goa and Nagpur in connection with an exam question paper that was leaked prior to an Army recruitment exam. The exam for various posts was cancelled in centres of the Pune zone.

On Saturday evening, reports surfaced of the aforementioned exam paper being leaked in various parts of Maharashtra. The exam was to take place at 9 am on Sunday morning.  Subsequently, raids were carried out in Nagpur, Thane and Nasik in Maharashtra, in addition to Goa.

The police received information of the paper being written by some candidates on Saturday night at various hotels and lodges. After the raids were carried out, the police nabbed 350 students allegedly connected to the issue.

The Army headquarters has been informed of the matter and investigation is underway. Multiple cases have been filed. The police suspect the involvement of top army personnel.
