Amravati Information Commissioner and family die in road accident in Karnataka

Bansod Dattatray Raybhanrao, Maharashtra's State Information Commissioner (Amravati bench) died in a tragic road accident on late Saturday night.

The accident also took the life of his wife and son who were travelling with him. Only his daughter survived. Bansod was travelling with his family in Hubli, Karnataka.

Confirming the news, Ratnakar Gaikwad, the state Chief Information Commissioner, said in a written reply, "Yes, unfortunately, news is correct. Spoke to Chief Secretary and others. Mr Bansod, his wife and son died in car accident in Hubli in Karnataka. Daughter recovering. Very sad and tragic indeed."
