AAP lawmaker Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday wrote to Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, seeking an enquiry against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly compromising national security of the country.

Mann has been facing the heat for live streaming a video he shot inside the Parliament House.

"Madam Speaker, you have formed a committee to investigate if my video posed a threat to Parliament. I want to bring to your notice that PM Modi invited a team of ISI to inspect the Pathankot air base. Doesn't this result in security threat? The ISI is responsible for Parliament attack a well as the one on Pathankot air base. I request you to expand the scope of the probe panel and include the PM's act," Mann's letter stated.

"If I am guilty, the PM's offence is 100 times more," the letter stated, asking the speaker not to be biased.

Mann has been asked not to attend the ongoing session, till a nine-member panel decides on the security implications of the video.

Mann has to give his response to the committee by July 28.

The Aam Aadmi Party backed Mann saying that he wanted to expose the lucky draw system of choosing questions in the House and raised the issue of Modi inviting the ISI to Pathankot.

Meanwhile, Mann apologised to Mahajan on Tuesday for the video.

"I explained my stand to Lok Sabha Speaker. She said what I did was not right and I should apologise. So I tendered an apology in writing. I said it was unintentional anmd that I was only trying to make an educational video," said Mann told the media.

Meanwhile, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is likely to meet his Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday. A Trinamool Congress member Ratna De is part of the nine member panel.
