A week after he raised his voice against AAP's national spokesperson and state convenor, the party today dismissed the chairman of its state disciplinary committee Daljit Singh on charges of indiscipline. "I received an e-mail from the national disciplinary committee of the party in the morning today. It has been said in the e-mail that I am being expelled from the party for breaching its disciplinary code," Singh said.

Citing a letter received from AAP's national disciplinary committee, Singh said, "You did not follow the Constitution of the party while staying in AAP. The national committee has decided to expel you from the party... You are being expelled." Asked whether he had replied to the letter, Singh said, "I have only said that God should bestow good sense upon them."

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had served a show-cause notice to Singh three days after he questioned the working style of the party's national convenor Sanjay Singh and Punjab state convenor Sucha Singh Chhotepur. In the notice, Singh was accused of high-handedly serving notices to party members and an explanation was sought from him.

Meanwhile, Singh refused to divulge his next course of action. On July 9, Daljit had alleged that state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur and national spokesperson Sanjay Singh were "adamant to destroy the party in the state".
