750 cows and buffaloes sold at Erode market

More than 750 cows and buffaloes were sold in a day at Erode Weekly cattle market, trade sources said today.

The cattle market is one of the biggest in Tamil Nadu.

On Thursday evening, cows were sold at Rs 12500 to Rs 27,000 (per cow). Similarly the buffaloes were sold at Rs 14000 to Rs 28000 (per bufflalo).

The sellers said they had received good price but buyers were of the view that cost of cow and buffalo was slightly high.
