Mumbai: 3-storey building caves in at Bhiwandi, at least one dead

A three-storey residential building collapsed in Bhiwandi in Thane district on Tuesday night, police said. One person has died in the accident so far. According to ANI reports, authorities have managed to rescue five people from under the rubble. The rescue operation is still on.

There is no clarity if more people are trapped under the debris of the building located in Rasoolabagh Khadipar area of the powerloom town. Disaster management authorities along with fire and police personnel are carrying on the rescue work. The cause for the building to collapse is yet to be known.
