Twenty-seven students were on Wednesday injured, including two seriously, when two college buses collided on Peddapuram National Highway in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district, police said.
Two buses of a private engineering college were ferrying students when the driver of the bus moving behind lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a turn.
As a result, the four-wheeler hit the rear side of another college bus moving ahead of it, causing injuries to 27 students in both the vehicles, Peddapuram Deputy Superintendent of Police S Rajeswara Rao said.
The injured students were rushed to Kakinada Trust Hospital for treatment. The condition of two of them was stated to be serious, he said.
A case has been registered in this regard, he added.
