Renowned South Indian film actress Kushboo Sundar is all set to join Bhartiya Janta Party. Congress removed her from the AICC official spokesperson post this morning. Born on September 29, 1970, Kushboo Sundar made her celluloid debut as a child artist in the film 'The Burning Train' (1980). Later she worked in many Bollywood films as a child artist, including Amitabh Bachchan's 'Naseeb,' 'Lawaris,' 'Kalia,' and 'Bemisaal.' She was cast against Jackie Shroff as the female lead in 'Janu'(1985). Kushboo played a significant character in the 1990 release 'Deewana Mujhsa Nahi', starring Aamir Khan and Madhuri Dixit.
50-year-old Kushboo Sundar worked in more than 200 films. She was primarily worked in Tamil films and gained massive popularity in Malayalam, Telegu, and Kannada language cinema. During her acting career, Kushboo worked with south superstars Rajinikanth, Kamal Hasan, and Chiranjeevi.
Her popularity is so immense in South India that her followers built her a temple. She left DMK in 2014 and joined Congress, saying then that was like her homecoming. Although she did not get the 2014 Lok Sabha ticket, she made the Rajya Sabha member from the Party.
In the resignation letter written to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Kushboo Sundar wrote, "Few elements seated at a higher level within the party, people who have no connectivity with the ground reality or public recognition are dictating terms and people like me who wanted to work fro the party sincerely, are being pushed and suppressed."
"I have always taken great pride to represent the Party on different platforms in most trying situations. I came into the fold of INC when it was at its lowest, being defeated in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. I did not walk into the Party for any monetary gains, name or fame," Kushboo Sundar wrote.
