'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' a remake of 'Mera Saaya'?

Kangana Ranaut recently celebrated her birthday on Monday and the biggest fit waiting for her was the unveiling of the 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' poster. The team gathered in the capital to launch the official first look poster for the film. But the storyline has already sparked controversies of bearing similarities with 'Mera Saaya'.

The Raj Khosla film had Sadhana essaying the titular role and the Aanand Rai film will have Kangana Ranaut in dual avatars. The basic plot which revolves around two Kanganas- one who is from London and the other who is a Haryanvi athlete, seems quite similar to the plot of 'Mera Saaya'.

The team which has been camping in the capital for sometime now will shoot for a week in Haryana for their last schedule before wrapping up the film. The film will release on May 29, 2015.
