Sonakshi Sinha-Shahid Kapoor: What's brewing?

Usually rumours of an affair between co-stars peak during the release of the film. But that’s not the case with this duo. While there were whispers of closeness between Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha during the making of R... Rajkumar, it didn’t create a stir because often link-ups between co-stars is just an added tool to promote the film. But the whispers continue post release too. Last week, she and Shaks sneaked off to party after an awards event, which had the Bollywood grapevine buzzing again!

Says an insider, “Sonakshi and Shahid clicked off right from day one of R...Rajkumar. The unit would watch amused as the bonding between the two grew. Both would often sit huddled in a corner cracking jokes and chilling together. As the film’s promotions started, one couldn’t but help notice the crackling chemistry between them. Post release, Sona played hostess at Shaks’ success bash. But this week the rumours of their relationship became stronger when the duo were seen leaving an awards event together for a private party.”

The source adds that the pair is not making it public because they want to be sure. However, Sonakshi says, “God no! I went to the function with my dad and left with him as well. Shahid and I are in touch, but we barely meet up because our work keeps us busy. I am very much single. I didn’t go to any party after the event. Shahid is a good co-star and a friend.”

Shahid remained unavailable for comment.
