Saif Ali Khan and wife Kareena Kapoor to shift to a four-floor apartment duplex in Bandra next year

He is the Nawab of Pataudi. So it is understandable if Saif Ali Khan wants to live like royalty! But realistically speaking, a royal in Mumbai city! The actor has bought four floors of a building opposite to his current residence, Fortune Heights, in Bandra in Mumbai. Each floor has 3BHK apartment of 3,000 sq feet each. The cost of each flat is approx Rs12 crore! Total cost? A whopping Rs48 crore!

A source informs, “Saif likes to live in spacious surroundings. While he and Kareena have been living in their  Bandra apartment for many years now, they now feel the need for a bigger space, so the couple have invested in a new home. Saif has fancy plans for their new abode. He wants a terrace-garden on one floor, a swimming pool on the another and gym in another. There is also a plan for a big library for his many precious books.”

In Fortune Heights, Saif has two apartments, one is his home on the top level and his production office on the second floor. The source adds, “Both Saif and Kareena have discussed their expectation with architect and interior designer Nozer Wadia (who has designed homes for celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Gautam Singhania and Arjun Rampal) and he will be designing their new home.

The insider further adds, “Kareena is looking into every aspect of the designing this time. One of the four apartments will be ready by mid 2014 and the couple plans to shift and give their current residence on rent.”
