Ranbir Kapoor REFUSED a Rs 9 crore fairness cream brand deal!

The fairness cream debate has been going on for many weeks now. It all started when Abhay Deol spoke up on how the endorsement of fairness creams were perpetuating false standards of beauty and that they promoted 'racism'.

Deol's statements garnered him a lot of praise, and also a lot of flak. After going after stars like Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan and Sonam Kapoor, Sonam spoke up on the issue. She targeted Deol's cousin, Esha Deol, for a similar endorsement she did. The feud went on for quite some time, and celebrities are taking sides to this day. 

Now, it seems like Sonam Kapoor's very first co-star, Ranbir Kapoor, has made his stance on fairness creams pretty clear. According to recent reports, the actor has refused to endorse a fairness cream brand. What is an even bigger surprise is that the endorsement promised him a hefty paycheck of 9 crores for not even a day's work. But the actor still refused to partake. 

While Ranbir hasn't openly spoken out on the fairness creams issue, it seems like he's indicated where he stands. Sometimes, actions do speak louder than words! Besides, it seems like Ranbir already has his plate full working on the Sanjay Dutt biopic and Ayan Mukerji's Dragon. The actor is currently busy promoting Jagga Jasoos, with Katrina Kaif, which will be released on July 14, 2017.
