Prajakta says about being selected, “It’s yet to sink in! I wasn’t over the news of being selected as a Creators For Change ambassador when this one came along. I feel so grateful to get to speak at places like the UN.” The artiste, whose channel has three million subscribers, is the only Indian YouTuber who has been invited to screen her video on hate speech at the event. She will also speak about her take on intolerance and hate.

Prajakta, who was The Viral Queen of 2017 (IWM Digital Awards), was earlier invited to attend the town hall meeting by the American ex-President Barack Obama in India in December 2017. She has also been vocal about body shaming and initiatives like #GirlsCount campaign among others. However, speaking about important issues wasn’t by design. She says, “It all came about organically. On World Mental Health Day in 2016, I put out a video asking my subscribers to talk about their feelings. And in the following weeks, we got thousands of emails, most of which came close to body shaming. That’s how I picked that up and it continued.”
