Our equation goes beyond films: John Abraham on friendship with Akshay Kumar

There have been reports that Akshay Kumar is upset with John Abraham because he is acting in sequels  of Akshay’s franchises like Welcome Back, Housefull 3 and Hera Pheri 3. However, the fact is things are fine between the two actors. Akshay recently did a guest appearance for the John and Varun Dhawan-starrer Dhishoom.  

John smiles when asked about AK, “I just want to make it clear that he can never be upset with me because I am closest to him. I call him Guruji. I love him to death. In fact, he shot for Dishoom for a couple of days and we share a very special bond. When people see us together, they will realise that these two guys really love each other. “

I point out that they have similar personalities. They are both into fitness and family. Both are workaholics and both of them hate socialising. John nods in agreement, “We are very, very similar and he means well for me and I mean well for him. In fact, I have this great script that I wanted to produce with Akshay starring in it. He asked, ‘Why me?’ I said, ‘Because it requires a kind of person like you.’ I wouldn’t  suit this role, but it’s a brilliant script and I want to do it with Akshay. My love for him is unconditional, whether or not he does my film. Our equation goes beyond films.”
