Karan to play lead in Balaji show?

‘Remix’ may have come to an end but its cast sure has carved a niche for itself. Actor Karan Wahi, (Ranveer) would definitely agree. For he has just been offered the lead role in Ektaa Kapoor’s upcoming serial, ‘Kis Rishte Se’.

“It’s true that I have been approached by Balaji. In fact, contrary to rumours, I have been offered the lead role and not Shabbir (Ahluwalia),” he clarifies, adding that Shabbir was chosen for the second lead.  Speaking further he says, “In fact, I have even met Ektaa. She’s very keen on having me on board.”

So will he accept the offer? “I feel honoured to have been offered a role from Balaji at such an early stage in my career. But I’ve been working non-stop for the past two years; a daily show being very time consuming. So I’m just taking some time off now,” says Karan, who is now in his hometown Delhi.

Ask him if it implies that he’s not game for it and he replies diplomatically, “I’m still thinking about it. Right now, I’m concentrating on commercials that I’ve signed up for. I haven’t really finalized anything as far as TV projects are concerned.”
