Looks like Jaaved Jaffrei has decided to continue as the judge of Boogie Woogie, which is returning after three years.  Earlier the actor had opted out and the channel was on the look out for his replacement. The likes of Geeta Kapur and Shiamak Davar had been approached for the show. However, news is that Jaaved, recently seen in the film War Chhod Na Yaar, will be in the judge’s seat, after all. “He had cited his busy schedule and hadn’t committed to the show, so the channel pitched it to other celebrities.

However, Jaaved is now confirmed to be a part of the show,” says a source. Jaaved on his part says that earlier the channel was deciding on the format and things were still being finalised, so he had not committed. “Now that things are in place, I have given a nod. After all, I have been part of it for 15 years and I am excited to be back,” smiles Jaaved. Tell him that several dance shows have come up in the interim period and he says that it was Boogie Woogie that nurtured dance for 15 years. “It doesn’t matter that others have come in. There is a lot of talent and it will only get better,” he adds. The auditions for the show that will be a Kids Championship  have begun and it is likely be aired in December after KBC7 is over.
