B-Town has a penchant for ruining hit Hollywood films in the worst way. As far as this cult film starring Michael Caine went, no remake came close.
The former was a runaway hit, the latter not at all (save for the music). About a traumatised woman escaping an abusive husband by faking her death.
Dimple Kapadia and Amitabh Bachchan’s casting could not salvage the ‘horror’ that was Hum Kaun Hai. Nicole Kidman should’ve said something back then!

STM released way before Amanda Bynes lost the plot. We bet the audience wondered what Rani was thinking when she signed this film. Was she thinking at all?
Salman Khan vs Jim Carrey? You know who’s going to win this one. Unless you’re a Bhai fan.
WAF, a remake of Stepmom, about a girl coming to terms with her fiance’s former family and his overbearing cancer-stricken wife, looked good on paper. On screen, not so much.
No. Just No. Everything was wrong in this Bollywood film that only copied the title and is more of a revenge saga after a feud goes terribly wrong.
