Income tax raid conducted at actor Vijay's house ahead of 'Puli' release

Actors Vijay, Samantha and Nayanthara are under the income tax scanner. Their homes were raided by IT officials on Wednesday morning. Their offices are also set to be searched thoroughly.

Actor Vijay’s big budget film Puli is set to release on October 1. Reports suggest that the IT raids may be conducted due to alleged tax evasion. According to The Hindu, income tax sources state that some of the investments made in Puli were not explained.

The report adds that income tax officials conducted raids in 25 other locations in the city. Similarly, actress Nayanthara’s house in Kochi is also being searched by IT officials. IT officials are currently present at 32 locations in Madurai, Chennai, Cochin and Hyderabad.
