If Donald Trump becomes president, that will be the end of the world: Jennifer Lawrence

The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence says if Republican candidate Donald Trump wins the presidential election, it would be the end of the world.

The 25-year-old actress, who plays Katniss Everdeen in the hit movie franchise, slammed Trump for being "politically incorrect", reported Entertainment Weekly.

"If Donald Trump becomes president, that will be the end of the world," Lawrence said. Her co-star Liam Hemsworth agreed and said, "I'll back you up on that." Her other co-star Josh Hutcherson called it "a publicity stunt," adding, "It can't be real."

Lawrence went on criticising the business tycoon-turned- reality TV host-turned politician.

"I genuinely believe that reality television has reached the ultimate place where now even things like this might just be for entertainment. It's either that or it's Hillary's brilliant idea," she said.

She was particularly put off by how his supporters viewed him. She said, "I was watching him on the campaign trail and one guy said, 'I love Donald Trump because he's saying everything I'm thinking and I just can't say it because of the PC factor.' And I'm thinking, 'You are absolutely right. That's who I want representing my country, somebody politically incorrect. That will just be perfect'."
