Hrithik Roshan's 'Kaabil' gets a release date!

Producer Rakesh Roshan has already booked a release date for his film Kaabil.Starring his son Hrithik and to be directed by Sanjay Gupta, the film will be shot and completed  in a three-month stretch from April to June.

However, the film will only release next year.

Explains Rakesh Roshan, “All the major release dates this year are already taken. So we’ve reserved January 26, 2017 as the release date for Kaabil.We are in no hurry to release our film.”

About the unlikely  merger of the Roshans with Sanjay Gupta, Rakesh says, “Sanjay  narrated a story written by Vijay Mishra, which both Hrithik and I liked. It is something Hrithik hasn’t done before. It is in the thriller genre. It’s different and yet mainstream, somewhat like the films I direct, which are massy. Very different from whatever has been attempted so far in the genre.”

Rakesh will be a hands-on producer.  “So you can expect a film that has elements of both Sanjay Gupta’s style and my style of filmmaking.” Apart from Hrithik and leading lady Yami Gautam, the film also stars Ronit Roy, Sonu Sood and Girish Kulkarni.

Stolen script?
About actor Sudhanshu Pandey’s claims that the story has been stolen from him , Rakesh Roshan says, “I don’t pay any attention to such things. As far as I am concerned, the story came to us from Vijay Mishra. And that is that.”
