While interacting with the press on the occasion of his 74th birthday, Amitab Bachchan revealed some details about the third instalment of Ram Gopal Verma's Sarkar franchise and also expressed that he's fortunate to work with Aamir Khan in Thugs of Hindostan.

Speaking about Sarkar 3 he said, “Sarkar is a continuation of the brand, of the series. There is not much change in the line up. The premise is the same, some of the characters will change because some of them died in Sarkar Raj and Sarkar, so they won’t be seen again.  It’s a new story. It’s like carrying forward from where Sarkar Raj ended or perhaps where Sarkar ended. In time to come, once it’s ready, we’ll be able to speak more about it. But that’s as much I can say (now). There are some new additions to characters in Sarkar 3. It’s a new story but yes, Sarkar himself is the only constant and a few others. Most of them are new characters, new artists, fresh artists. Once it’s closer to release, we’ll talk more about it."

Big B further informed that he will begin shooting for Sarkar 3 in a couple of days while Thugs of Hindostan will go on floors from February next year.

When asked to comment on finally sharing screen space with Aamir Khan in Thugs of Hindostan, here's what he said, "Yes I know, there have been many attempts for us to work together but we haven’t so yes I look forward to that opportunity. Aamir Khan is a great star, he’s a great actor. He’s been ruling the box office and the industry for many years and it’ll be very fortunate for me to get an opportunity to work with him."
