Gurmeet Chaudhry suffers burns!

The Zee Rishtey Awards event that saw many TV stars give stellar performances, also had the hunky lead of Punarvivaah, Gurmeet Chaudhry perform to the Ishaqzaade number replete with all kinds of daredevil fire stunts.

However, during the performance, the actor ended up getting his knuckles burnt in the middle of the act. “The organisers expected the act to come to a halt. But Gurmeet continued with his performance and the audience did not even find out he was in pain. Much to everyone’s amazement, Gurmeet was the first to report on the sets of his serial next morning,” revealed a source.

“We had a karva chauth sequence that we had to shoot on the day after the awards ceremony and it was a crucial shoot. We were considering the possibility of using a duplicate but Gurmeet landed up despite his burns and put all our problems to rest.”
