Exclusive: Kapil Sharma to go solo on 'Koffee with Karan 5'

When Karan Johar and Kapil Sharma hosted a film awards function together, the two had everyone in splits. Both have a great sense of humour - one is classy, the other is massy - but the two got along well. 

Karan was to go on Kapil's show but after the Bollywood ban on Pakistan artistes and the subsequent problems he faced with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil the filmmaker preferred to keep low. However, his actors from the film - Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had appeared on Kapil's show.

Now, sources say that Kapil is all set to appear on  Koffee with Karan. We have already seen the two pulling each other's legs and trying to be one-up, albeit in a humorous way earlier, so this episode should be a riot.

Kapil is set to appear solo on the show, say sources. Either nobody wants to go with the nation's most loved comedian for fear of being overshadowed or he has not reached a stature where someone is willing to share screen space with him on a show! Watch this space..
