The trailer of Kali was released online a few days back and it has been in the news ever since. The Malayalam film starring Dulquer Salmaan and Sai Pallavi is directed by Sameer Thahir. Now, a controversy has erupted online over  the trailer - not for its content but for the fact that the original soundtrack of Hollywood movie The Man from U.N.C.L.E has reportedly been used in the trailer.

Music director Gopi Sunder has been accused by people of having 'lifted' the soundtrack of the Hollywood film and people have been trolling the music director online. In the past, Sunder was accused of copying ‘Summer of 69’ by singer Bryan Adams for one of his songs in the film Bangalore Days.

However, the music director has told Malayala Manorama that he lifted the track from the Hollywood movie The Man from U.N.C.L.E on purpose and used it in the trailer. He was quoted as saying, "I did it for fun and it was just a trailer. Anyone can easily spot that score."

The music director further told the daily that he doesn't mind getting trolled as he sees it as something positive. He even posted on his Facebook page that he respected a troll's creativity.
