Vidyut Jammwal is all set to be cast in Rohan Sippy's next directorial venture titled Junglee. Though the title of the film is the same as the 1962 Shammi Kapoor starrer, the film will be an action thriller, exploring a unique bond of friendship between a man and an elephant.

Sounds familiar to Haathi Mere Saathi? Well, the film won't be anything like the Rajesh Khanna starrer either. As per a Mumbai Mirror report, Vidyut will be seen playing the character of an animal loving vet who would unravel a deadly poaching racket. And how would he do that? Well, that will happen as the racket would take away his father and wipe out his elephant friend's family.

How did this idea come to Rohan? He reveals that it came to him as his three-year-old daughter Inaya brought back memories of some of the films that her loved watching inhis childhood. He explained, "I grew up before television arrived on the scene so the biggest treat for my friends and me was when my dad (Ramesh Sippy) would bring a projector home and screen Haathi Mere Saathi for us. That is one film I watched on every birthday for at least three-four years. And that's what triggered off the idea of Junglee."

The film is produced by Junglee Pictures and will go on floors early next year.
