Priyanka Chopra has been a good friend of Meghan Markle.
Priyanka Chopra and Meghan Markle have become good friends over the years since both the ladies were shooting at the same time in Toronto. While Chopra was playing Alex Parrish on Quantico, Markle was playing Rachel Zane on Suits.
The celebrity friendship became part of Royal wedding speculations when on Wednesday in an interview Priyanka Chopra hinted at the possibility of being one of Markle's bridesmaid.
In an interview with Harper's Bazaar Arabia, when asked if she will be among the bridal party for the Royal wedding of Prince Harry and Markle, Chopra coyly replied, "If you see me there, you’ll know."
Reiterating her previous opinion of 'a woman is not just a plus one', when in September Chopra commented on Markle's interview with Vanity Fair, Baywatch star said, "It’s natural for people to be like, ‘Oh that’s Prince Harry’s girlfriend, but she’s a lot more as well."
Talking proudly about her friend the Desi Girl continued, "She’s an icon, truly, that girls can look up to, that women can look up to. She’s normal, she’s sweet, she’s nice, she thinks about the world, wants to change it and this was even before any of this happened. So I do think Meghan being a part of the royal family is a big step in the direction of so many things; of women, of feminism, of diversity, of race, of the monarchy versus everyone else. It’s a beautiful step in the right direction.”
Markle and Prince Harry are considering a break from royal tradition by making an "affectionate" speech at their wedding in May. Talking about Markle modernising a centuries old institution Chopra said that the way Markle will change it, nobody else would.
"She is just right for it," said Chopra.
