His presence is sure to intimidate the bravest of people, his voice can provide an energy that no one else can and his smile has light up bazillion faces. Yes, he’s Amitabh Bachchan. You enter a room and the first thing he asks is ‘Aap logo ne chai coffee piya hai?’ and you know this is beyond just another interview. Over the next thirty minutes, Amitji talks films, fandom, fame and so forth. From Shamitabh to his personal experiences and his favourite digital platform, Big B is a revelation.

Starting off with the obvious, Big B rubbishes reports claiming that Shamitabh is similar to Abhiman. "The story is completely different from Abhiman. Abhiman was a different story and so are the rest of the films", added Amit ji who also called Balki's Shamitabh a 'unique' concept. "It is a very different kind of plot and it is never been tried in Indian cinema. Balki makes films which are very different from some of the expected story you see in Indian Cinema. These kind of films are different and very challenging for an actor like me. Basically this film is about two people - Dhanush and me, who are unknown to each other. Akshara discovers our talent and finds that if we come together it will be beneficial to both of us. As story moves forward, there emerges a conflict. The message is clear: both our characters are incomplete without each other and our talents need to merge to come across as one strong character in the film."

The element of frustration in his character has added a bit of reality to the film, given the power packed dialogue delivery and the promos. But 'it's not from the past', said he. "He is a frustrated old man and he is disappointed with his life. He is a drunkard and that is what the character is. It would be wrong if I say I have never ever been frustrated in life. I have definitely been frustrated in life but the frustration of my character is way different so there’s nothing that we have incorporated from my life at all"

In the film, he shares screen space with Dhanush who he calls a 'wonderful artist'. Talk about Dhanush and he showers him with compliments. "He is very dedicated and professional. Simple things look very beautiful when he performs. So yes he is a very, very accomplished actor. I am not saying because we are paired in the same film but once you watch him on screen, you will realise how he spells magic with his acts". Has he watched some of Dhanush's other work? "Yes I have seen some of his South Indian films- not complete films but I have watched some portions from many of his films. Recently, I watched Raanjhanaa and it was an excellent film. Dhanush was brilliant in Ranjhanaa"
