With her flagship store set to open today at Juhu, the designer promises Mumbai's fashion conscious some romance, fun and glamour.

"I'm inspired by life's good things. The feel good factor is very important to me because I believe if you feel good, you'll look it," says fashion designer Bhairavi Jaikishan about her newest offering 'La Vie Est Belle'.

What makes the collection all the more special is that it will retail from Bhairavi's new flagship store at Juhu.

Done up in understated hues of beige and white with large visuals from Bhairavi's latest collection, the store has two levels, the upper showcasing Bhairavi's collection of kurtas, tunics and blouses and the lower a 'boudoir' for bridal trousseaus and sarees and lehengas.

Retailing at select outlets around the world, why did she choose to open a store now? "I used to have a store earlier, but then I branched into exports and had to close it down. My child was also very young and I didn't have the time. Now I'm in a position to open one and the season is always a good time for new beginnings."

Her collection reflects her contentment as she plays with fusion fashion with a dash of seductive elements. Her colours for the season run the gamut from pinks, golds, mint and jade, to fuchsia, berry, sunset yellow, lime etc.

Her silhouettes are glam in free-flowing fabrics including georgettes, chiffons, silks and her styles show off a hint of skin with backless blouses, halters and strapless elements.

"My collection is fun, glamorous and romantic. Every bride-to-be is in a romantic mood right now," she smiles. And what are her expectations from her new store?

"Well, I've always been optimistic. I'm looking forward to it doing well." It's with the same vein of optimism that we wish her luck and hope life remains 'belle' all through this festive season.
