Akshay Kumar's Baby has released worldwide on Friday, except in Pakistan. The film, a high octane edge of the seat action thriller that revolves around terrorism and covert operation undertaken by the anti terrorism unit is facing a ban in the neighbouring country after they alleged that the film portrays Muslims in a bad light.
Akshay Kumar, in defiance of his film, claimed that the film is not made to target any particular religion or community. "No this is not a film against Pakistan. I don’t like to do films against any nation and this too is no different.", Akshay said.
While some claim that there has been a deliberate attempt at mentioning Ajmal Kasab in a particular scene, others have also protested against the usage of Muslim names like Taufique, Jamal, Bilal to show terrorists in the film. Akshay straight away cuts and clears the air. "In Baby we have not taken the name as to from which country is the terrorist from. It is some people who are bad but not the entire country. You can't judge an entire nation on the basis of a few hundred people who are commiting crimes and doing wrong things. So I will never do such kind of films where people portray a country or religion in bad light.", Akshay clarified.
