The CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani has again hit the headlines for promising to make a movie to 'expose' FTII students for their 'anti-national' protests against appointment of Gajendra Chauhan.

A report by a leading daily has Nihalani saying: “I am going to make a movie on how badly the FTII was functioning all these years and how the students were using government resources continuously but working against it." He also says that these students may have managed to get everyone's attention, but they would not be able to adjust in FTII with "such an attitude".

A few days ago, Nihalani was in the news for a video titled Mera Desh Hai Mahaan, which was playing in some theatres during the interval of Salman Khan's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Nihalani defended himself from claims that the video was slavish to Modi by saying, that he was proud of the effort. He told NDTV: "If this is chamchagiri(sycophancy), then I am proud of it.”

He also defended his use of images from developed nations by claiming that it showed Modi's vision of a new India.  He also appeared happy about his 'Modi Kaka and Nehru Chacha' comparisons and had even written to the Prime Minister asking him to set up a ‘Modi Kaka Bal Divas Award’, to which the PM didn’t respond.
