Vivek Oberoi visits his adopted village in Andhra Pradesh after one year

The actor had adopted the village last year on January 24, 2015.

Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi went to his adopted village Muthavakuntlapalli of Kanaganipalli mandal in Andhra Pradesh on January 13. He was visiting his adopted village after one year. The actor was accompanied by minister Paritala Sunitha, MP N Kistappa, ZP chairman Chamansaab and joint collector B Lakshmi Kantham. He reportedly held a gram sabha in the village and stated that he would make the village a model village in India.

According to The New Indian Express, the actor had adopted the village last year on January 24, 2015, on the occasion of former minister Paritala Ravindra’s death anniversary. This constituency is represented by civil supplies minister Paritala Sunitha. The actor spoke about his relationship with Paritala’s family and described late Ravindra as a real hero who fought for the common people, adds the report.

Vivek Oberoi has stated that he would bring e-education to the ZP High School located in the village. He also said that a purified water plant would be installed from his own personal funds at Tallimadugu village located in the same gram panchayat. CC roads, drinking water facility, drainages and independent lavatories would also be constructed, he told the people.
