Actor Suriya case: FIR withdrawn, lady involved clarifies what happened

The lady who was reportedly assaulted is Pushpa Krishnaswamy who took to social media to thank the star for what he did for her.

Actor Suriya reportedly stopped by to help a woman in trouble on the Adyar Bridge near his home in Chennai and ended up having a case filed against him. Two youngsters were allegedly troubling a woman and threatened to assault her when Suriya was driving by. He stopped the car and intervened asking the boys not to touch the woman. He then left but the two boys went to the police and one of them, a 20-year-old, filed an FIR against him for allegedly slapping him. The police registered a case on May 30 but then subsequently, the case has been withdrawn. 

The lady who was reportedly assaulted was Pushpa Krishnaswamy who took to social media to thank the star for what he did for her. She has narrated what happened that day as well. 

No one is sure what transpired on May 31 and how the case was withdrawn. Suriya also thanked Pushpa for taking to social media and posting the truth about the incident.
