Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Hindon Elevated Road, which is the longest 6 lane road in the country, on Friday. The road is about 10.30 km single pillar elevated stretch connecting city's Raj Nagar Extension to the border of Delhi at UP Gate near Vaishali. which will enable commuters to cover it in 10 minutes. After inaugurating the road, Yogi addressed a public meeting in Ramlila Ground, Kavinagar.

Ghaziabad DM and vice-chairperson of GDA, Ritu Maheshwari, and SSP Ghaziabad Vaibhav Krishna received the CM at Hindon airbase. The inaugurated elevated road was constructed by the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) at a cost of Rs 1241.60 crore.

Before inaugurating the elevated road, Yogi thoroughly inspected the 10.30 km road from Raj Nagar to Vasundhara.

Recently, some of the leaders and party workers of the Samajwadi Party had inaugurated this elevated road claiming that the project was visualised, started and almost completed by the SP under Akhilesh Yadav's chief ministership.

Addressed the public meeting in Kavinagar Ramlila Ground, the CM said that the UP government was committed to prosperity and security of the public. He said that the state government was running various development and welfare scheme for the public.

"Ghaziabad has become the pioneer city in the country. The state government has provided 37 lakh connections under the Saubhagya Scheme and 7.70 lakh connections are given in Ghaziabad. The previous government was trying to misguide the public on the issue of development. Under the BJP government, development and prosperity are being seen on the ground.

The CM also inaugurated other 8 projects, of which 4 belong to the GDA.

Yogi inaugurated the Saubhagya Yojana worth Rs 149.73 crore of power corporation and inaugurated the Bandha Road.

Yogi also inaugurated work of construction of boundary wall, modern furniture and upgradation work of around 350 primary and junior high schools worth Rs 20 crores.

The UP CM also laid the foundation stone of 11 projects worth Rs 355.89 crore. These include the foundation laying of 856 EWS houses at Madhuban Bapudham under PM Awas Yojana worth Rs 131 crore; an Integrated Power Scheme worth Rs 112.24 crore; mid-day meal scheme and RCC bridge over Hindon.

Yogi, during the meeting, also praised the Ghaziabad Police for their recent good work.
