Wanted robber and vehicle thief nabbed from Shahdara

An accused wanted in cases of robbery has been arrested by the Shahdara District police, the accused used thefts and robbery as a means to fulfil his desires of luxurious life. The accused identified as Vinay Pandat (24) was wanted in various cases of robbery and motor vehicle theft.

“Pandat is a habitual offender and was previously involved in many cases of robbery, theft and motor vehicle theft,” said Nupur Prasad, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shahdara.   Pandat used stolen motorcycles and vehicles in robberies and thefts and later disposed them at cheaper rates. He was arrested after the Delhi Police received a tip-off about his whereabouts. Pandat had come to Vivekanand Mahila College crossing in North-East Delhi where he was nabbed before he could rob anyone. “We had received a secret information that Pandat would come to the area of Vivek Vihar to commit the crime. However, he was arrested from the Vivekanand Mahila College crossing,” Prasad said.

Pandat was asked to provide documents of the motorcycle he was using which he could not. The motorbike was stolen from Ghaziabad area.
