Three, including one juvenile, arrested by Delhi police for theft and robbery

The Delhi police on Sunday evening arrested three people, including a juvenile, near Kala Mata Mandir, DDU Marg, on charges of theft and robbery.

Police said the accused were involved in several cases of theft and robbery. Cops say the trio was arrested after a tip-off.

Two of the accused have been identified as Danish alias Aakib (20) and Aamir (28), both residents of Chandni Mahal. They revealed to police that they committed the crimes to live a lavish life.

"During interrogation,the criminals accepted that they made the theft as it helped them to fulfill all of their needs and was a easy money job. The juvenile also fell into their trap as they lured him for money", said Amit Sharma, Additional Deputy Commisioner of Police, central (Additional DCP).

Apparently, one of the accused namely Aamir used to stole two wheelers with his accomplices and snatch valuables likes mobile phones and jwelleries from the passerby on the streets of Delhi. They then parked the stolen vehicle at any abandoned place after committing several crimes.

"The accused entered into the world of crime at a very early age. Both of the criminals were in the business of sale and purchase of stolen mobile over a long period of time. On the day of incident too,they went their to sell on of the stolen mobile phone," Sharma added.

Accordintg to police, fifteen cases of robberies and thefts which were named against the accused have been cracked. Police recovered four stolen Activa scooties, 2 stolen motorcycles and 8 stolen mobilephones from the accused.
