Protest against L-G Anil Baijal gathers momnetum with candle march

The supporters and partworkers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) held a candlelight march on Thursday evening to Raj Ghat. The party protested against Lieutenant Governor, Anil Baijal who has been disrupting Delhi government's work, refusing to accept important files. In response to which, government bureaucrats have stopped attending meetings and have gone one a strike.

The march started at 6 pm with the party members and supporters chanting slogans against Anil Baijal, the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. AAP Rajya sabha MP Sanjay Singh was leading the march who valiantly expressed his disregard of the L-G's actions. He encouraged people to join AAP and raise their voices against the unfair rule of the L-G. He also said that the Congress had become a "Congressi Bhajpai, speaking the language of the BJP.

The march was joined by many other political parties such as the Janata Dal, Rashtriya Dal, CPI (M).

AAP member Atishi Marlena said, 'This candle march has been held to pray for the mental health of the L-G, who needs to open his eyes and stop putting hurdles in the way of the functioning of the party."

Vinda Karat, CPI leader said, "Kejriwal along with his three volunteers is not sitting for the welfare of their party, rather for the larger good."

Another AAP member Sarita Singh, " L-G cannot even spare four minutes for people who have been protesting in his office for four days."

Further, Sanjay Singh established that they will keep protesting until the L-G wakes up and starts working for the people.

Arjun Mishra, a 72-year-old retired man from Bihar took part in the march."Kejriwal is a fearless God who will uplift the citizens of this country and break the biased nature of the system. L-G is selfish and needs to look at the bigger picture,"said Mishra.
