A minor boy lodged at the shelter home in Mukherjee Nagar was sexually assaulted by two other juveniles at the correction home on Sunday night. The police have registered a case and have told the authorities at the correction home to probe the incident in order to make sure that the incident is not repeated.
The victim was lodged at the shelter home in a case of robbery case whereas the two accused juveniles were lodged in the jail in connection with the rape and murder case of a minor. According to the police, a call was made around 10 pm on Sunday after the victim complained of pain in his private parts.
"A case under Sections 377 (unnatural offences) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) was registered on the complaint of the minor boy. We have asked the home authorities to probe the incident and make sure the juveniles do not commit such a crime again," said a police officer.
The minor called the home warden after he could not bear the pain in his private parts. He informed the warden that the two juvenile boys had assaulted him when he had gone to the washroom. The two minor boys had first threatened him and then forced themselves on him. They later threatened to strangle and kill him if he told anyone about the incident.
The accused juveniles came to the correction home at the beginning of this year. The minor victim, who is in trauma, is undergoing counselling as well, police informed.

- A case under Sections 377 (unnatural offences) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) was registered on the complaint of the minor boy. Home authorities will probe the incident.
