Madame Tussauds wax museum unveils first look

The iconic Madame Tussauds wax museum is all set to open its doors for Delhiites this summer. Putting to rest all speculation in this regard, a team of Merlin Entertainment — the brand behind the renowned tourist attraction — made the announcement while unveiling the museum’s first look at Hotel Shangri La on Thursday.

Located in the heart of Delhi, Regal Cinema in Connaught Place, the 23rd edition of Madame Tussauds will have 50 wax figures of national and international celebrities from diverse fields, including history, sports, music, film, and television.

Statues of famous national personalities, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, will adorn the museum. Statues of popular international figures, such as reality TV sensation Kim Kardashian and pop singer Lady Gaga, will be added attractions.

Speaking on the occasion, Anshul Jain, General Manager and Director of the Merlin Entertainments India Private Limited, said: “We are more than delighted to inform you that we are in the final phase of launching Madame Tussauds in Delhi.
