Delhi: Drug cartel busted, three held with 1.2-kg malana worth Rs 12 lakh

The drugs were procured from Malana in Bhuntar and then distributed in hotels and discotheques in the national Capital.

The Crime Branch of Shakarpur has busted a drug cartel involved in supplying high-quality malana charas and has arrested three persons with 1.2 kg fine quality malana cream. The recovered charas is worth Rs 12 lakh in the international market. The drugs were procured from Malana in Bhuntar and then distributed in hotels and discotheques in the national Capital.

The Crime Branch had received information that one person namely Harmeet Singh aka Honey is involved in the supply of charas (malana cream/green ice) in Delhi. Accordingly, a team of officers of STARS II, Crime Branch was formed to develop the information. Both technical and human surveillance was mounted on the movement of the suspect. During the surveillance, the police received an information that two persons namely Vinod and Anmol would come near the Karampura flyover opposite Moments Mall, Moti Nagar to supply the consignment on Harmeet's instructions. A trap was laid at the place and Vinod and Anmol were apprehended. During a cursory search, 1.1 kg charas was recovered from the possession of Vinod and 200-gram charas was recovered from the possession of Anmol.

During interrogation, it was revealed that Harmeet had hired students and good looking youths for supplying drugs to the high society addicts. Both Vinod and Anmol are addicts and Harmeet lured them into selling drugs for him in exchange for large sums of money and helping them maintain their luxurious lifestyle. Both of them used to verify the clients and supplied the drugs to customers. Charas is mostly in usage in Delhi followed by opium and ganja. Malana cream charas is highly demanded in party circles.
