Mahendra Singh Dhoni will become only the sixth Indian player to play 300 one-day internationals on Thursday as India take on Sri Lanka in the fourth one-day international in Colombo.

Dhoni will join the likes of Sachin Tendulkar (463), Rahul Dravid (344), Mohammed Azharuddin (334), Sourav Ganguly (311) and Yuvraj Singh (304). Apart from reaching this important milestone, he can also achieve two world records in this special match.

The former Indian skipper currently holds the record of most ODI stumpings with Kumar Sangakkara with 99 such dismissals. With one more stumping, he can surpass Sanga and also become the first man to have a century of those against his name.

Dhoni has been not out in 72 innings in ODI cricket. He is tied with Shaun Pollock and Chaminda Vaas in this regard. One more unbeaten innings will get him at the top of the table.
