Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvender Chahal (KulCha) shared six wickets between each other as India bowled out New Zealand for a mere total of 157 runs in the first ODI on Wednesday.

Chahal, who dismissed the dangerous midd-order batsmen, Ross Taylor and Tom Latham after they both gave Chahal return catches, finished with figures of 2 for 43 in his full quota of 10 overs.

Yadav claimed the final four wickets to end the Blackcaps' innings.

In fact, Yadav was a tad better because he made those four dismissals for just 11 runs. Moreover, Kuldeep, who ended with figures of 4 for 39, recorded the third best ODI bowling figures by an India in New Zealand after Anil

Kumble (5 for 33) and J Srinath (4 for 23).

Soon after KulCha wreaked havoc at the McLean Park, Napier, the Indian fans exploded on Twitter praising the two talented spinners, who enjoyed each other's success on Wednesday:

Earlier, became the fastest Indian bowler to 100 ODI wickets. Shami, who took 56 ODIs to get to 100 wickets, bettered Irfan Pathan's 59 matches.

While Shami equalled New Zealand pacer Trent Boult (56 ODIs) in his record of fastest Indian to 100 ODI wickets, he surpassed Pakistan's legend Waqar Younis (59 ODIs) and South African spinner Imran Tahir (58 ODIs).

In the second over of the day, Shami bowled an inswinger and as Guptill tried to hit it with hard hards, he only managed an inside edge that landed on his stumps and the Kiwi became Shami's landmark victim.

The dramatic action followed on Wednesday after New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat.
