What's with English cricketers in bars? After Ben Stokes landed himself in trouble for brawling outside a bar in Bristol, England wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow is facing an inquiry over an alleged incident that took place in a bar in Australia.

According to reports, Bairstow ‘headbutted’ Australian's Cameron Bancroft at a bar in Perth earlier in November.

The England and Wales Cricket Board has said that it has spoken to Bairstow after claims about an alleged incident involving Bancroft.

The ECB said there was no report of any incident from the venue, security or police and no injury reported. It will "follow up" with players after the conclusion of the first Ashes Test.

The alleged incident took place before the start of the Ashes tour. Bancroft is a resident of Perth while the England team was in Perth for their first practice game of the tour.

As far as reports are concerned, Bancroft did not react to Bairstow’s alleged attack.
