The oilseed market closed on Tuesday 15th August for 'Independence day' holiday.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil prices resumed lower at Rs 840 and later moved up to settle at Rs 855 as against previous weekend's level of Rs 850 per 10kg, showing a marginal gain of Rs 5 per 10kg.

Refined palmolein also opened higher at Rs 555 and later advanced to close at 564 from last week's level of Rs 548 per 10kg, showing a gain of Rs 16 per 10kg.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold commenced higher at Rs 4,750 and later rose to end at Rs 4,770 as against last Saturday's closing level of Rs 4,725, showing a modest gain of Rs 45 per 100 kg.

Castoroil commercial also opened higher at Rs 980 and went-up to close at Rs 984 from last weekend's level Rs 975, showing a gain of Rs 9 per 10kg.

Linseed oil prices opened and closed stable at its previous weekend's level of Rs 750 per 10kg. MORE
