Rajshri Productions' head honcho Raj Kumar Barjatya is no more. The veteran producer passed away in Mumbai. The news comes two days after he was hospitalized in Reliance Hurkissondas Hospital, reports Latestly. The news of his demise was confirmed by both trade analyst Taran Adarsh and news agency ANI.

Trade analyst Komal Nahata also shared that it comes as a shock to him. Komal met him a week back and found Raj Kumar perfectly alright. Taking to his Twitter handle, Nahata wrote, "Terribly shocking news. Shri RajKumarBarjatya passed away some minutes back at RelianceHurkissondas Hospital. Can’t believe this. Met him just a week back at his Prabhadevi office. He spent so much time with me and my family. He looked perfectly alright then. And now, he’s gone!"

Meanwhile, Taran Adarsh remembered how soft Raj Kumar was as a person. "Shocked and saddened to learn of Rajkumar Barjatya ji’s demise... Raj Babu - as he was affectionately called - was an extremely soft-spoken person... Heartfelt condolences to Sooraj, the Barjatya family and #Rajshri parivaar," he wrote.

Hum Chaar, which released last week, was Raj Kumar's last film as a producer. He has also produced several movies like Piya Ka Ghar (1972), Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! (1994), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Hum Pyaar Tumhi Se Kar Baithe (2002), Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003), Uuf Kya Jadoo Mohabbat Hai (2004), Vivah (2006), Isi Life Mein (2010). The veteran producer had made his production debut with Salman Khan and Bhagyashree starrer Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989.
